Some venues get it right and others get it very right!

When the Skeff were launching their new cocktail bar "Eyre Cocktail Bar", they did not pick just any celebrity to launch it, they choose one of the best!   Suzanne Jackson's website SoSueMe.ie was voted one of the most influential fashion websites in Ireland.   She was also voted Ireland's Best Blogger in Stellar Magazine in 2015.

Suzanne's passion for what she does is obvious and because of this her passion is also her career.   One of the things she stands out for is her engagement with her readers, she knows her audience and the important of connection.

The energy she exudes certainly matched the energy of the launch of Eyre Cocktail Bar at the Skeff.  The staff, management and wonderfully talented Joanne Sweeney Burke were all on hand engaging, connecting and ensuring that the launch night was the huge success it was.

The Skeff is referred to as "Galway's Meeting Place" and it is suitably positioned opposite one of Galway's natural meeting places, the lively hub that is Eyre Square.

Eyre Cocktail Bar is airy and spacious and on the night of the launch, beauty was abound everywhere!   I was in good company with the lads and lasses from the biggest blogger network in Ireland ITWBN.

Not a greasy sausage in sight when it came to the finger food, something that I value highly in a restaurant.   It was fresh, easy to eat and delicious.  There were spicy bits, meaty delights and the desserts were divine. They ranged from cup cakes to rocky roads, one of my personal favourites.

The signature cocktail was called after the very special guest and can be found on the menu as SoSipMe.   It is a delicious combination of vodka, creme de menthe, kiwi liqueur and sweet mix blended with crushed ice.

Well done to the Skeff for a fantastic launch and well done to Suzanne Jackson on her honest inspirational chat - I wish you continued success.

Thanks also to Julia Dunin Photography for all the wonderful photos.
